Nina - Sings The Hits Of Diane Warren, The Album

I’ve always been a fan of Nina ever since she started. I just had her new album last night, “Nina - Sings The Hits Of Diane Warren” and I must say that she truly gave justice to those compositions. However, while listening to the CD, I just felt that something is missing. No doubt, she’s a good singer with an amazing voice but I think this album has safer versions of the songs =).

I was actually expecting something more with “I don’t want to miss a thing”, “I Turn To You” and “Un-break my Heart”. I’m quite frustrated because I felt that the feeling was lost. Maybe, I just liked its original versions. As for the other songs, I love her versions of “I Could Not Ask for More”, “Have you Ever” and “There You’ll be”. For me, that’s Nina’s signature.

After listening, I can say that her album with “Barry Manilow” songs renditions is much better. I love Diane Warren songs and I’m really glad that Nina was able to have a compilation of it. For a fan like me, this is still a great addition to my collection. I still recommend that you buy this album than others=)

Here's the complete list of songs in the album.

I'm a proud Filipina because of her...

Just recently, another milestone has been added to the career of our very own Charice Pempengco. I can't help but admire her disposition and amazing God-given talent. Although there are other Filipino singers that can do the same version of the songs she usually sings, she's still remarkably different. That is because, she's only 15 and really small for a big voice that she has.

I also dreamed of being interviewed by Oprah (har har har) but I can stop dreaming now because, she just brought the entire Philippines in the show =) Congratulations... Girl, you make every Filipino proud...

For those who missed the Oprah's show, here it is courtesy of YouTube.

the most expensive sunglasses ever auctioned...

it's all in the news and i'm probably the last person to know it. okay, i'm talking about what everybody knows-- it's the auction event that lasted in July 31 for John Lennon's piece of gold-rimmed wire sunglasses. According to reliable humors... the highest bid reached almost $2M. Oh! men that 's a lot of money! That could even lessen the Philippines debt. hahaha..

i just came across this post and it made me somewhat smile. is it really possible that the auction was inspired by the recent Transformer Movie? now that's something!!! Read the whole post here.
