I was watching a talk show in Kapuso Network three weeks ago(I think so) when I heard that BBgandanghari has a new blog. To my excitement, I rushed to my pc and typed in the address. At that time, the blog has only two posts. I had a great time reading them though especially the interview with John Lapuz.

I was once a fan of BB (when he was still Rustom, sorry BB I have to say). =)
Like everyone else, I was also shocked to learn about this changes. Nevertheless, I still like her because of her conviction and love for herself. Whenever I see her in interviews, I truly listen to what she says. My enthusiasm simply tells me that I have something learn the moment she opens her mouth.

I have to say this. She's beautiful. She really looks elegant and admirable for her courage. Most of all, her happiness and honesty truly inspires me. I'm actually a regular reader of her blog. =) Hope she could post more...

If you would notice in most web forms such as blog comments and registration forms, there are mysteriously rambled and blur letters/numbers that you need to input in order for your comments to be approved or to complete your registration. They are called Captcha.

Captcha, according to Wikipedia is “a type of challenge-response test used in computing to determine whether the user is human. "CAPTCHA" is a contrived acronym for "Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart", trademarked by Carnegie Mellon University.

The term CAPTCHA was coined in 2000 by Luis von Ahn, Manuel Blum, Nicholas J. Hopper (all of Carnegie Mellon University), and John Langford (then of IBM). A common type of CAPTCHA requires that the user type the letters of a distorted image, sometimes with the addition of an obscured sequence of letters or digits that appears on the screen. Because the test is administered by a computer, in contrast to the standard Turing test that is administered by a human, a CAPTCHA is sometimes described as a reverse Turing test.”

Here are the main characteristics of CAPTCHA
1. Current computers are unable to accurately solve.
2. It can be solved mostly by humans.
3. It doesn’t rely on the attacker never having seen the given type of CAPTCHA before.
4. Its can automatically generate new challenges that require artificial intelligence techniques to solve.

Aside from the notion that Captcha only exists to stop spammers, here are great reasons for you to understand more its importance.

1.It is used to disable automated software from performing actions that can degrade the quality of service of a particular system.
2.It is installed as a response to infringement by commercial interests.
3.It is used to protect the systems that are prone to email spam.
4.It is serve a significant function in rate limiting
5.It implements automated usage policies as set by the administrator when certain usage metrics exceed a given threshold.

So the next time you see alphanumeric text that requires your input, don’t be amazed or confused. It is just testing you if you’re human. Don’t worry, you can guess and input endless times until you solve it.

why the word “ambulance” is written backwards?

I’ve seen several ambulances but never realized that the word “ambulance” was written backwards on vehicles. I don’t know why..lolz.. Maybe I’m just after to the patient’s welfare that’s why I’d rather look in the inside than on the prints of the vehicle.

So why backwards? Why not upside down or the usual way? The answer is really simple. Many motorists knew about it and if knowing it today would validate my ignorance, then let it be.

The word “ecnalubma” was written backward so that it becomes readable from rear and side mirror. So it can be easily seen by the drivers and make an effort to let the vehicle pass first.

If you’re observant and a street smart, you can definitely answer this question. Oh, if you’re also a driver, and I’m not!

small circles, big circles, crop circles?

This article is not a new one. For most people who are fascinated with the mind-boggling crop circle designs like me, this is something worth writing for. It was last week when I spotted the documentary show of National Geographic about Crop Circles. The title of the show is “Is it Real?”

The show tackles different topics that aim to answer its title. The episode “Cop Circles” had led me to watch it more even it has gone me until 1 am. All I uttered was, “Awesome!” With its beautiful design and amazing structure, I don’t think that it can be done within 5-6 hours in the middle of the night, all by human. Well.. not sure about it?!



This post is for the benefit of clueless yet interested individuals with crop circles. I made some research about it, collated the information and finally, decided to post it in here.

So what are crop circles? According to Wikipedia, if I may borrow their definition “Crop circle is a term used to describe patterns created by the flattening of crops such as wheat, barley, canola, rye, corn, linseed and soy.” Different forms of crop circles are can be found in various parts of the world. It was also filmed in some movies.



Different crop circles were explained in various formations. It is believed to be alien-made that involves UFOs by some paranormal experts while the naturalistic people says that all of these eye-catching circles were man-made, of which many experiments and research concluded it to be the truth.

Most crop circles are can be found in wheat fields of England. It normally appears in the morning, of which many locals believed it was made by aliens to communicate using Sumerian symbols. Ball lightning, plasma and vortexes are the so-called UFO’s and aliens that made these circles during the night.


It was also several centuries ago when this theory was formulated. To answer the many questions and due to curiosity, several studies have made and it was found out that these circles, aren’t all man made despite of several pranksters admitting that they have hoaxed circles, to amaze, draw attention and furthermore, terror the people.

Up to now, the real explanation of this marvellous creation is a mystery. Though there are numerous proofs that it was made by man, many are still puzzling with its existence and how it was built. Here are other the crop circles made over the years. Would you believe it was made by aliens or man? Surfing around the net actually gives every surfer the privilege to know the bits and pieces of everything. As for me, not much of an average surfer, it is not really surprising to know some people generating tremendous money from blogging, affiliates and for having a strategic mind and resourcefulness. A grand total of $17,828.61 in a month is SOMETHING to know about.
