When I lost my two cellphones, my honey surprised me again with a new cellphone a week after - the Sony Tipo. It's small and very convenient to use since it's a dual sim cellphone. Now I only need to carry one cp and use the contacts interchangeably.
In the first two months, I have no issues on using the phone. It's my second touch screen phone and my first in Android. I love the applications until one day that I experienced difficulty on touch screen. Suddenly, it doesn't display the correct letters and the applications open so easily when my fingers unintentionally tapping it. It was a nightmare because it's barely new and I endured it in an entire week.
We were planning to have it checked in Sony service center but my Honey did some researches and fortunately found one fix. You can rarely see reviews and tutorials with real issue on Sony's Tipo. We're not also sure if Sony is aware of the issue.
So what we did is downloaded this calibrate tool, https://dl.dropbox.com/u/949444/ST21i%20calibrate.rar. The Sony Tipo Calibration tutorial here has saved us a dime and lots of time. :)
Hope this helps!

What's with iPhone? Duh, that can be embarassing!
Just came across this news on Yahoo,
Apple's chief exec and irreplaceable master of ceremonies has few if any equals when it comes to wowing audiences during product demos, but even Steve Job's famous reality-distortion field couldn't protect him from an embarrassing Wi-Fi snafu during the big WWDC keynote Monday.
About 20 or 30 minutes into the big iPhone reveal, the Wi-Fi network that Jobs was using to show off Web browsing on the iPhone 4's revamped screen conked out, leaving Apple's normally poised, ultra-confident CEO a bit red-faced as the audience stared at a giant blank Web page.

A Whole New Way to Play Scrabble with Apple iPad

Do you still remember these? - Old Cellphones, Beepers, Game Consoles
The technology is evolving really fast. It seems like yesterday when the price of a standard sim card is worth Php500-2000++ (not really sure since my sim card is worth Php1,000 way back in 1999) and now it can be bought for Php10. I remember a friend of mine who bought an Intel Pentium 3 that is worth Php50,000. That amount 12 years ago is really huge. With 50 grand now, you'll definitely enjoy a pc with monster specs.
Time flies and I bet that children of today no longer recognize or was not able to see old gadgets such as karaoke machine, stereos, computers, cellphones, game consoles and beepers. The technology changes in just a blink of an eye and you'll never know, you're already left behind. So can you still recognize these things?
These gadgets have invaded our world almost 15 years ago. So now that you've seen and compare them to what you currently have, can you still think of what the future holds for us?

a wonderful present
first, i would like to greet everyone a belated merry christmas! Just like everyone else, I've been busy in the last few days particularly preparing the presents for my family and the food as well.
while I'm not expecting to receive any gift from them, I still wonder if there's something in store for me. Well.. my honey has been very eager and excited lately to give his gift for me... that may satisfy my wonder.
Christmas finally came and I received my most desired present. I know I said that I love to have an iphone but that changed when I saw Nokia E-71. And the longing for E-71 has changed when I spotted the Nokia E-63 last week. It's more economical with a little difference on the features of E-71. Nevertheless, it is a phone that I can be contented with.
The phone was out on November 12, 2008 and it came to the Philippines just a week a go. I'm so glad that my honey gave me something that I can use since my job requires me to be online always. Oh how I hugged him to death... not enough to thank him!!!
Here's a shot of it from hugin.info

my dream iphone
It was four years ago when I first bought my cellphone using my own money. I think Nokia 6260 was the first ever and most popular flip top made by Nokia - at the time =D. It has all the features I want in a cellphone so even its price is a skyrocketing one, I chose to buy it.
Four years later, I still have my 6260. I was able to change its battery a couple of times and it has been reset once. Despite of its being an old cp model, I still can't just dispose it - it's still in damn good condition, thanks to Nokia btw. It's worth the buy.
Well, there are many cellphones out there now. I must admit that I've been tempted to buy a new one and keep my 6260 as a souvenir. But with our family's current status, I don't think that it will be a good idea.
BUT, at the back of my mind, I'm bound to loose my promise that I would keep this cellphone for life because of the new iPhone. Yes, I'm one of those who is longing to grasp this new mobile sensation. I've seen several phones for the last four years but never came into my mind that I need to change what I have until the iPhone. It's a different thing. It was just like the same feeling I have when the 6260 has been out in the market for the first time.
Every time I see iPhone in the internet or hear news about it, I just can't help but ask my self, would it be a good investment? One to two months from now, I'm pretty sure that new breeds of cellphones are on their way to mesmerize me again... well us..
Until now, I'm still in the midst of to buy or not. And the eagerness to have one triggered again.. my friend just shared me this most expensive iPhone - costing USD66,150 due to 319 diamonds with 138 Princess cut (where the name of the iPhone was derived) and 180 brilliant cut and a total of 17.75 carats of diamond set in 18k white gold around its rim. I'm not buying it.. simply because I'm not capable.. har har.. just want to share it with you guys!

futuristic cell phones on the go
Last time I posted the most expensive phones. Now, I would like to share with you some amazing phones soon to be available in the market...I hope so! One of my friends sent me an email about the upcoming cellphones of which I believe is possible in the future. The email originated from www.FunAndFunOnly.net.
Let me take some tags and images from them. BTW, this is courtesy of www.FunAndFunOnly.net so thank you thank you...
1 . Nokia 888 Communicator
Nokia definitely has the most interesting concept phones. Nokia 888 Communicator is a striking futuristic concept phone. The phone, which uses liquid batteries, speech recognition, flexible touchscreen and touch-sensitive body cover,is designed by Tamer Nakisci and won the Nokia Design Award
2 . Nokia Aeon
Nokia Aeon was presented by Nokia on their website in the Research & Development section. What is so great about this phone is that it looks like it will actually go into production next February. Of course, its just a rumor, but still, makes us hope to actually see it someday in the GSM shop. All we know about it for now is that its a touchscreen phone and it looks fantastic.
3 . Sky "Sleak n Slim"
"Sleek & Slim" from SKY is another concept based on touchscreen technology. The phone has a discretely glowing touchpad, hideaway keys and generally utterly-fashionable minimalist design.
4 . Benq-Siemes "Snaked"
Benq designers thought of women too and presented Snaked. This is a "reptile" looking phone, creepy somehow, but still is very cool. The Snaked is a fashion phone for sport loving women, because it also has body monitoring sensors to help the ladies keep those fine shapes.
5 . What You See is What You Get Concept
One thing is for sure about this concept phonethey could've named it shorter. Designed by Pei-Hua Hang, the phone's name comes from the fact that this concept no longer uses an LCD as viewfinder for the digital camera, instead it uses a transparent frame. And of course, interaction is made through a touchscreen
6 . Retroxis By Dark Label
If most phones presented here will never be sold in store for sure, the Retroxis concept phone from Dark Label looks kinda human, and makes us hope we'll be able to get one of these one day. Designed by Lim Sze Tat the phone is encased in high polished polycarbonate renowned for its lightweight and toughness and has an invisible OLED display that silently hides away when inactive.
7 . Benq-Siemens "The Blackbox"
Black Box designed by Benq-Siemens uses a touch screen as its keypad and, depending on the functions you are using, the touch screen changes the control layout immediately.
8 . NEC Tag
Somehow similar to the Snaked concept, the NEC Tag is a flexible phone concept that can be , for example, hung from a belt or wrapped around the user's arm. Interesting is that the phone has shape-memorizing material and sensors that allows the phone to change its shape according to the mode.
9 . TripleWatch
Though the idea of a cellphone watch is not so new, the TripleWatch designed by Manon Maneenawa has an interesting triple flip technique that allows the user to transform the watch into a normal cellphone. When used as a wrist watch, the phone has a speaker button that allows the user to answer the phone and hang up while driving.
10 . Asus Aura

my creative zen
There are lots of MP3 and MP4 players coming out today. There have been hundreds of imitations that offers the same brand but of different quality. I’ve seen fake Sonys, ipods, Samsung, Pensonic (sounds like Panasonic) as well as numbers of China-made MP3s and a lot more. But, I haven’t seen any fake Creative brands at all. Geez!
My ZenV Plus, though 1GB is giving me a true satisfaction. The ZEN V PLUS can accommodate photos, videos and music and also features an FM radio. Aside from its cute and chic appearance, I really like its sound. It’s very soothing to the ear and also convenient because I can bring my important docus with me and be able to access it at anytime. I can record my voice and listen to some podcasts, too!
I know my ZENV Plus is not the best in the market. And for many gadget geeks, this is not something to be amazed of. Well… I’m just sharing a piece of not-so-new gadget features that gives me a lot of things to be satisfied of. Whew! this gadget is just perfect for me!
